Stephanie Franks obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing and Computer Information Systems in 1991 from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge.

As the Managing Member of Trial Concepts, LLC and Managing Director of Trial and Litigation Consulting Services, Ms. Franks brings her technical and legal expertise to her clients from discovery through trial via several litigation support programs such as Summation, Concordance, CaseMap and Trial Director. Her services include Case Management, E-Discovery, Trial Preparation, Support and Presentation, Imaging, Coding and Paper Document services. In addition, Trial Concepts is a Certified Reseller and  Trainer for the above-mentioned software packages, and services clients in the state of Louisiana, Mississippi, Florida, Texas, New York, Illinois, and Arkansas.

Prior to the inception of Trial Concepts, Ms. Franks was a Trial and Liitgation Support Consultant with a New Orleans litigation support company from January 2001 until the end of August 2005. Ms. Franks managed the automation of several complex litigations from discovery through trial in the areas of oil and gas, admiralty, products liability, insurance coverage, construction and commercial litigation. She managed the imaging of discovery documents and/or trial exhibits and coding of these documents. In trial, Ms. Franks was responsible for rendering and displaying exhibits, video deposition clips and PowerPoint presentations.

From June 1995 through December 2000, Ms. Franks worked at a prominent New Orleans law firm as a Litigation Support Specialist in the IT department. She was responsible for the automation of all discovery documents and trial exhibits for five offices located in the Gulf South, as well as co-managing the litigation support team. She was responsible for training associates and paralegals on litigation support software. In addition, she performed paralegal duties while at trial with the litigation teams and developed her legal and technical skills.

Ms. Franks has given continuing legal education and paralegal association presentations on topics involving litigation technology from discovery through trial throughout the Gulf South. She is currently a member of the American Society of Trial Consultants and sits on the Board of Directors of VIA LINK as head of the Technology Committee. VIA LINK is a not-for-profit organization in New Orleans that connects people and organizations with information resources to enable them to help themselves and others.
